FLINT - The Mott Community College softball team wrapped up the regular season MCCAA Eastern Conference title with four wins over the weekend to close the regular season.
Mott took two at home from Schoolcraft College on Friday, 5-2 and 8-3. The Bears swept Macomb Community College on the road on Saturday, 12-5 and 8-6. The results pushed the Mott win streak to 11 games. The Bears head to the postseason with a record of 32-11 and 24-6 in the MCCAA.
The title is the third straight for the Bears and the 11th in program history.
Game One vs. Schoolcraft:

Reigning MCCAA Player of the Week Alexis Hemker went 4-for-5 with a double, a home run, three RBIs, and two runs scored.

Keira McGarvie added two hits, a double, an RBI, and a stolen base.

Arika Hines (19-7) tossed a complete game, allowing two runs on two hits, walking two and striking out six.

Gracie Cantley had two hits with a triple, one RBI, and one run scored.

Hemker and Carley Hoover each recorded two hits.

Mya Martinez (10-2) got the win in relief, tossing three scoreless innings, allowing two hits, one walk, and striking out three.
Game One vs. Macomb:

Brianna Heroux had two doubles, three total hits, three runs scored, and two RBIs.

Hemker added two hits, a double, three RBIs, and one run.

Breana Fantin had two hits, a double, two runs, and an RBI.

Martinez (11-2) picked up the win with three scoreless innings in relief. She allowed three hits, one walk, and struck out two.
